Full Commit to Whatever You Do

Andy Jones and Chris Grey
I'm currently going to Alfred State College part time.

At the time it was a great idea...I wouldn't have to do much work but, still allows me something put on my resume indicating I worked at a college. If my athletes got better I can claim their success with minimal work.

So what's the problem? I really, really, really enjoy coaching.

Those 3 days a week I'm not coaching I end up sitting in my chair at home, wondering what they are doing and how it's going. Furthermore, they won't improve at the rate they would if I was there full time.

Lastly, because of being half in it, I sacrifice what I have here to be at Alfred. I have worked a little bit with a guy from another high school for 2 years and this year he's really starting to take off. If I was with him full time I know he would be doing much better, but instead I can't work with him being in the college realm.

Being a part time coach just isn’t as good as doing it full time.
